Meal Plan

Meal Plans are added to the student's Winthrop ID to ensure the safety and security of their meals. The photo on the card must match the student paying. Students may pay for a friend but cannot lend them their Winthrop ID card to pay. Students must bring their physical Winthrop ID card to pay with their meal plan as a photo of the card will not be accepted.

One meal is donated to the Swipe Out Hunger bank for every mandatory meal plan sold to help food insecure students. Visit our Swipe Out Hunger page for more information here.

Meal Plans Explained

EAGLE MEALS An Eagle Meal may be used for one meal swipe entry into the Eagle Eatery or on exclusive meal equivalence combos at Retail locations. Eagle Meals are by semester and do not roll over into the next semester.

ALL ACCESS Meal Swipes may be used for one meal entry into the Eagle Eatery, this will reload every 30 minutes after each use. All access swipes are by semester and do not roll over into the next semester.

CAFE CASH A balance that comes with a meal plan and spends like cash. Café Cash is accepted at every location. Café Cash is for a full academic year of Fall through Spring, any remaining balance does not roll into the following academic year.

EAGLE BUCKS A balance that may be purchase at any time in blocks of $25, $50, $75, $100, $150, $200, $250 and $300. Eagle Bucks are accepted at every location and are not part of any meal plan. Any remaining balance stays on the card while the student is enrolled at Winthrop and is not lost between semesters or academic years. Purchase Eagle Bucks anytime here.

Resident Meal Plans

Resident students will select a meal plan when applying for housing. First year students must choose an All Access meal plan. Students living in Winthrop Residence Halls are required to choose a meal plan of their choice. View room and meal plan rates here.

Commuter Meal Plans

Commuter students may purchase a Meal Plan at any time on the Winthrop Marketplace. Commuter students may choose any meal plan excluding the Courtyard Flex plan, but may prefer these plans as they are design for commuters who will not be on campus often during meal times. Faculty & Staff Meal Plan

Faculty & Staff are offered a meal plan with 20 meals at a price designed to save you money and encourage you to visit more often. Eagle Bucks are also available to add to your Winthrop ID. You may take advantage of our special offers and save too.
